Computer and Internet facilities can be one of the most important factors in your decision on when or whether to take a serviced office. Below we have listed a number of key questions which will hopefully help you make a more informed choice.
Do all serviced offices have broadband internet?
Will the Business Centre provide PCs?
Do we need to network our PCs?
Almost all serviced offices have broadband internet capabilities - though internet and telephony packages are usually charged on top of the monthly rent. Serviced office providers offer a range of products and services, including different connection speeds. If you have specific IT requirements, please let us know and we will endeavour to find an effective solution.
It is recommended that you provide your own PCs and any additional hardware you require e.g. printers, scanners. Business centres can provide IT equipment if required, but this is likely to be fairly expensive.
No, most of the more expensive centres offer a secure Local Area Network (LAN) to every office through Category 5 cabling. Most centres provide at least one port per workstation included in the total monthly charge.
E1/T1/Lease lines are essentially all the same and provide broadband Internet access. It is a permanent connection to your server and provides very fast downloads/uploads of data from/to the Internet. An increasing number of Business Centres provide this level of connectivity however you will generally be charged for using it.
Videoconferencing enables you to have a "virtual meeting" with people in other locations worldwide through either television or computer. If you require videoconferencing, please check with our consultants and/or the business centre for more information.
